Gail Simone (whose writing I've only enjoyed on Deadpool) and Neil Googe (whose art I really love) join together for a very interesting if not totally original idea. Basically, Tranquility is the retirement town of a bunch of old heroes and this issue gives us the setting and main characters and shows us how wonderful and small town quiet Tranquility is. Then something o' so bad happens. Yeah, not the most original set-up, but this is (to my knowledge) all new heroes and Simone and Googe do a great job of making us interested in them immediately.
