Abnett and Lanning know how to revive a series to the point of excitement. We have a better defined Soldier Zero, with real connections and real problems. The one element in the story that simply does not add up is the presence of Application Nine (APP9). He seems to be a human with alien technology that did not come from the Alien Soldiers squad.
