Collecting a mini series of stories (issues 1-6) written by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly, and illustrated by Jamie Grant.
This book was an interesting read. The stories varied in interest level for me. With one minor complaint, I enjoyed all of the stories with the exception of the last (Superman Squad story).
I love the small key made from Dwarf Stars, that only Superman can lift. I love the feats of strength between Supes, Samson and Atlas. I love Clark Kent's interaction with Lex Luthor, during the prison riot.
Episode 6: Funeral in Smallville was the chapter I didn't care for. I can't stand when big name stories through in comic relief characters. The Superman Squad is just a lame idea. Krypto, the super dog and KLYZYZK KLZNTPLKZ are just just plain stupid. The dog has a cape.........
Aside from that, the art was good, the writing was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed this DC book.
I might have a skewed view considering I know next to nothing about DC books, but I thought this was worth a read.
