Not Bad

I have found Avengers Academy to be an entertaining read since issue #1. The art is consistent and while at times this group of young hero's is a train wreck waiting to happen, I am starting to get bored.

If you have been with the book since issue #1 then you get the premise. These are the kids that Norman Osborne messed up big time. These are the kids that are one choice away from being the next Dr. Doom. I get it, so does everyone else that has been reading this. Now lets get to the part where they stop having that bashed over their heads every issue and get to making them into something more than possible boogeyman and women).

There are upsides here. The team is still divided amongst themselves but they still back each other when it matters.

This .1 issue has them looking for validation by looking in on those that where not selected for Avengers Academy. They at first see what can only be glimpses at perfect happiness. Which turns out to be a big ruse perpetrated by another survivor of Osbourne's manipulations.

Worth reading if only just to be on board for the upcoming Fear Itself themed issues that will start with issue 15.
