Ardden Entertainment knows how to put a comic series together. I'm talking about the combination of artistic talent and writing with an amazing character in Flash Gordon. Now Flash Gordon will be appearing in Dynamite Entertainment so I can only hope that they will at least meet the expectation that Brendan Deneen and Paul Green have established with their interpretation of this iconic comic character.
There is a unique drawing style at play in this comic that grabs you and impresses the senses. The story is fluid and drives the action to a desired end. The portrait of all character is whole and respectful. Ming is illustrated just the way the young imagination would register him. His likeness is set in stone to be imitated but never outdone.
Having read all other issues, this introductory issue brings back the initial feeling of amazement experienced when I first encountered this interpretation of Flash Gordon.
