This issue was better than the second issue! So I am over the moon that this series is going so well, if it keeps up like this, I might very well have to add it to my pull list for good!
In the same vein as #2, this third instalment is primarily giving us a great deal of characterisation of just Skaar this time, while continuing along this awesome storyline in a highly entertaining way.
There is a little introduction to this character called Omaka who appeared in the previous issue, and she is given a little more depth here as well, we get to see her motives and beliefs layed out in a well explained way.
These 2 characters stick together for many issues to come so this was an important issue for them.
We see a little more on Axeman Bone as well, and it was very entertaining to read as well, Greg Pak has given his side of the story a real twist now and it's damn exciting stuff!
There was a good little side story at the back as well, which was started in the previous issue and continued here. It gives back story on Axeman Bone and his past life, adding a more dynamic appeal to his character. Which is defiantly a good thing, as Pak does an excellent job yet again!
This issue is getting into the real adventure now, we see the characters fight in a battle, and then make their way to their destination (which I won't spoil where it is they are going, but it should be big).
Very well written, as always, with some excellent artwork (this issue had probably the best artwork on the whole of each issue of this series so far) and oh man, I'd be lieing is I said this comic does not give of an awesome atmosphere!!
