Either I am really smart or Marvel telegraphs their plots. Don't read any further if you don't want me to spoil anything in this story for you.
Of course Brother Voodoo dies in this issue. As though it could be anyone else. It is all about sales, and the black, C List voodoo Sorcerer Supreme wasn't winning any popularity contests at the tills.
Despite the obviousness of it all, the story wasn't too bad. I like the way Bendis used Wolverine to channel the powers of the other New Avengers. I also enjoyed seeing Thing smack around Luke Cage. It will be interesting to see where they go from here. Who will the new Sorcerer Supreme be? What will Daniel Drumm's revenge be?
Stuart Immonen's art both rocked and sucked at the same time! I enjoy the clarity of his lines and he has a way with depicting faces. With this said though, boy did the fight scene between Wolverine and Agamotto suck. As far as the pictures were concerned, the two were dancing for about 4 pages. This is too bad to, because that scene should have easily been the best part of the whole book.
I'm hoping that Bendis starts giving the New Avengers some meaning. They are starting to feel like a useless team that has no real involvement in the Marvel Universe whatsoever. And if that is the case, I'll be dropping what used to be my hands down favourite book.
