DC is on my list right now, and I don't mean the one that I have at my local comic shop.
Give people their hearts desire, and it all goes to pot. I've seen the plot before, and so have you.
Remember that first season episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" where Q shows up and gives Riker the power of Q? And Riker gives everyone their fondish wish? Yep, in the end, noone wanted it.
Or how about the episode of Justice League Unlimited: Season One "The Man Who Has Everything" where the Black Mercy flower grants Superman and Batman a vision of their greatest wish. Yep, in the end, it's only a dream.
*SIGHS* It was only a matter of time before the "
JERK SOCIETY of America", consisting of most of the LAMEST members of the JSA: (
Wildcat's son, the new Amazing Man, and Damage) were gonna side with Gog.
And then look stupid when it all goes to seed. Damage has, beyond a SHADOW of a doubt, the
WORST written characterization in JSA lore. "Oh, how interesting... a hero who DOESN'T like his roots." Well then,
DROP KICK HIS TAIL OUTTA THE JSA.
Mr. Johns: it doesn't make any sense to me why Damage would BE in the JSA if he doesn't respect Al Pratt's legacy. I would have
LOVED to have seen Atom-Smasher just...step on him and get it over with.
Between he and Superboy-Prime's consistant whining, all we need is some cheese and we can have a Christmas party: DC style.
So, put a bow on this story already. It's getting nowhere. Fast.
