Something smells in here.

Man, this series started with actual potential.

Sunspot hurts Sam Guthrie in a fit of anger and pain. He then leaves the New Mutants in shame.

He joins up with other very fringe Marvel characters in an ad hoc group called Fallen angels.

Sounds like kind of a more mature Power pack. And, it started like that.

But...this issue ends the whole thing. I will sum it up in "sound bite" snipppits.

---A Lobster saves everyone.

---Devil Dinosaur and Moon boy can't be understood.

---They are on a planet called Coconut Grove.

---The main villains are, essentially, party people.

Oh, whatever. I can't go on.

This is an absolutely awful comic. It ends without any real ending. Syrin and Multiple Man choose to stay in a group led by the Vanisher. There is absolutely no resolution for the act that started the entire series(Sunspot never actually returns to the new Mutants "on camera").

It is apparent that Marvel was hoping this series would catch on and become a regular series. Unfortunately, it sucked, so it didn't.

1 out of 5 stars. Only because it's kinda neat to see fringe characters in action together.
