The flagship of the X-Verse and what USED to be the flagship of the Marvel Universe needs to be better than this! This issue was confusing at best and downright poorly devised at worst.

Matt Fraction; who is a terrific writer in my opinion, has definitely lost his feeling for the X-member's voices. Some stated that this had been the case ever since he took over the title. Personally, I feel as though it has just been of late. Characters are saying things they would never say, and the reader is missing the overall, individual feel for the characters. Not to mention, this story was convoluted and uninteresting. Following Magneto's exploit in India right now with a bunch of kids in Legacy is more interesting than this, and that just should not be the case!

As for the art, I'm not really sure what Whilce Portacio's deal is. His interior art is not very good. I realize this is not the "politically correct" thing to say, but his medical condition aside, his work is not strong enough to tell the story on what should be Marvel's bestselling book.

So, add Fraction's lost words with Portacio's weak art and you have yourself one confusing book. I hope they fix this problem soon. Uncanny has been my go-to book ever since I was a kid. I'd hate to drop it now.
