I honestly thought this was just going to one huge, stinking pile of dung. But stone the crows was I wrong, this was actually fairly decent and enjoyable!
I do however believe this 5 issue mini series is a little unnecessary, but in light of the new Wolverine movie coming out, this is probably half the reason why this mini series has been written. But who knows, perhaps I'm wrong and it just happened to come out now!
The issue itself was written well, it was pretty much just exactly the same as the main Deadpool series going on at the moment, in terms of humour, action and artwork. But the good thing was this story is not set (as far as I can tell) in current continuity, it's just a fun story!
Now, where I say this issue felt like just an issue from the current main Deadpool series, it does, but with more action and seriousness than humour, although there is still humour obviously, and some very funny humour at that!
It was enjoyable!
The plot is just your classic Deadpool 'Hire-Me-To-Kill' plot with it's bunch of usual twists!
Apparently through-out the whole 5 issue's of this mini series, we are going to come across some cameo appearances from other Marvel Superheroes, and on the last page of this issue, we get a glimpse at the first character to feature in this mini series!
It's gonna be goooooood :)
The artwork was pretty much exactly the same as Paco Medina's artwork in the main on-going series, I couldn't tell the difference and although the cover tells me its not him doing the art, I still believe it is. Lol.
I wasn't happy about spending more money on this mini series, but if it's this good, then that's fine with me.
