Swamp Thing Explored

As is evident by the cover, this issue focuses on the Thunderbolt's most mysterious member, Swamp Thing. As a long time character in the Marvel Universe, but definitely underused, many T-Bolt readers questioned the choice of adding him to the team. This issue helps concrete that choice as both creative and sound.

I had often wondered why Swamp Thing stayed, locked up at the Raft. I mean, he is a teleporter after all! This issue explores that idea and sheds some new light on the man behind all of the moss.

For long time Swamp Thing fans, there is nothing this issue shows you didn't already know. But for the rest of us, the refresher course was much needed.

I didn't much care for the lizard people that came through the nexus in the Florida swamp. But despite their cheesiness, the story was solid.

New artist on the book, Declan Shalvey does a nice job, using some very detailed lines. And if you want a real surprise, check out the cover. It was designed by Greg Land, but doesn't look like his style at all!

Next up, the team has to find a magic user for their roster. It will be interesting to see who they nab....
