Team of Psychos!
I thought this issue was pretty cool. I like what Marvel is doing here. I actually am starting to loathe Norman Osborn the way I loathed Tony Stark during Civil War. The interactions between this new Avenger team still seem a little off to me. Daken comes across as way too subdued in comparison to his appearances in the Wolverine: Origins series. Bendis throws in some nice little subtleties with this book that really further my reading experience. One such example would be when the team is talking about hunting down Iron Man and Osborn stops and looks in the direction of Ares and Sentry. Noticing the disdain written across their faces he quickly changes the subject as he knows how badly he needs both of these characters. The story had some real butt kicking moments. The three big ones that everyone is talking about being Dr. Doom getting pounded, Sentry ripping Morgan le Fay's head off and Venom eating Ares. Just reading those three ideas together tell you what kind of story this is. I am looking forward to this crew interacting with the New Avengers and other heroes. An entertaining read with okay art.

I think he is more powerful than he lets himself be. I think he is weak in that he is often mis-written, never reaching his potential.

Ares is such a weak character though. I'd call him Thor-lite, but I think that is too much of a compliment.

Yeah. I mean it's Ares! Plus I don't think the continuity is completely strict.

Nah, was just chewing on him a little. I'm sure he will be fine...

If Venom ate Ares...does that mean Ares won't be in War Machine #3?
