Electro is having problems controlling his electrical discharges while Spidey saves a belligerent guys dog. OK, I'm in... let's check this out.
In this issue, a new arc begins with Electro seeking out "The Thinkers" help. Electro believes that "The Thinker" can fix his electrical problems, and "The Thinker" uses this belief to make Electro do his bidding.
I loved the way the writer, "Mark Waid" weaved a tale of Electro's love, loss, and electrical problems all into a fun beginning to an arc that I am excited to continue to read. Mark Waid is a great writer. the interaction between Peter Parker and his roommate really crack me up. And, not only does Peter Parker have roomy trouble, but Electro, in spite of all his problems, has managed to incite the people of New York agains Spider-Man.
This issue contains a second story that I felt was not so great. The artwork was terrible (Jim Ken Nimura) and the story was so-so (Joe Kelly). However, I have always liked the sort of strained relationship that Spidey has had with Black Cat, so I finished this story out of loyalty. Good art, may have made this story better, but now we will never know.
Anyway, this book is worth a read, as just about all Amazing Spider-Man books are. Fans will like the start of this new arc!
