Aplha Dog, GhostWare, Neuropath, Primal Screamer, Filament, Synchron, and Penultimate are The Seven. Who are these guys? This is the second book in a series of four and the story begins to take off. The Seven have just pushed the FF out of the way so they could take the credit for saving the day. And, because there were lives at stake, the FF let them.
Who is The Seven? Why is Col. Harkness grilling the FF? What are the mysterious words in green? OK, I am into it. I am reading like a mad man as this story has got me interested. In this issue Sue is still trying to figure out what the green goo is. As she is working Col. Harkness singles her out, and takes Sue by helicopter to a place unknown. There, Col. Harkness disappears only to be replaced by non-other than… The Seven. And of course they are out to kill Sue. So, the increase her density, and throw her in the ocean. Yep, that should do it.
The art work is superb. I have grown to love Tyler Kirkham’s work, and this book seems like it is better than the last. I loved the final panel and the way he drew Prince Namor. The art is fantastc.
Mike Carey is doing well with the writing. Sue and Reed are going through some problems, and the dialog really has me pulling for Reed, however, Sue things she doesn’t need a serious relationship right now, so there is no warming up to Reed. However, with Prince Namor coming on the sceen, there could be some steamy things ahead with Sue and Namor.
At any rate, the writing is good, and I am enjoying the story. As I said in my previous review, this is the second cover to a 4 cover panoramic view of the fantastic four. You have to get all four issues. You won’t be sorry.
