Another great issue by Christos Gage, he's really proving himself to be a fantastic writer, not to mention the best suited to be writing this comic!
This issue's artwork was a real turn out for the books! Humberto Ramos.. out of nowhere! It seems as if this was a pretty well kept secret that there was going to be a new artist for this book, especially one as unique as Ramos. I think his artwork is great, and it works really well with this comic I thought. I enjoyed it a lot more with Ramos' artwork! Let's hope he stays for a while, at least until the end of this story arc.
The issue itself was handled really well. Much like last issue, this one focuses on explaining what is happening with the Initiative under Osborn's rule on the superhuman world. It deals very well with the characters and where they're all heading next in their lives!
Turns out that the Thor Clone has escaped from his holding cell in The Baron's Lab and is wreaking havoc amongst the Initiative base.
The fight was handled very well, and I don't want to give any spoilers away, but when you've got a base full of superheroes with all different powers, you're going to have an exciting, colourful and eventful battle on your hands, especially against a THOR clone!
A good issue on all fronts, it's good to see the events of Dark Reign being handled well, and a good side story being done well too!
A fun book! Very fun indeed!
I personally think The Shadow Initiative should have their own book. But don't have it labelled or branded with an 'Avengers' title.
