And people aren't complaining about Clay Mann's art in this issue? At least Portacio bothers to finish a panel. Regardless of the lackluster art, this story, while slightly more interesting than Uncanny, has worn out its welcome. Perhaps it's all the anti-Islam stuff going on in the real world and just bad timing on this story's part, but to have the big, mean antagonist for the last two issues be a hardline religious type isn't sitting well.
Add to that the uncomfortable Rogue/Magneto dynamic, other characters I don't care about and, what I think is, a return of those kids from the battleship some 50 issues ago and I'm about done with this title again. Yeah, the Children of the Vault reminded made me realize that this is Carey's 51st issue. It's really time for him to move on. They weren't an interesting idea then and they really aren't now.
We're coming off a really good, status quo tweaking event and both X-books are completely failing at doing anything with it. Sad.
