There is something disturbing happening to Batman in this series. We have pretty much everyone that has anything remotely to do with Batman appearing in this series. We have Batman loose control as a child gets shot by a Riddler impersonator; we have Gordon ready to intervene to protect a potential murdered from being killed by Batman; we have Talia share childhood secrets with Bruce Wayne; the Man-Bat or Ubu coming to collect those memories from Talia; Aquaman dispense justice like any vigilante; and another Bat-man look alike dispense with Ubu.
There are many disconnected activities happening, but the great art keeps this seemingly disjointed story interesting, so I’m in for the long run because I have faith that Neal Adams knows what he is doing.
