This issue blew my mind !!!

The thing I love the most about Iron Fist is the classic Kung Fu storylines. I do think that a modern breath of air needs to be infused from time to time to keep Danny Rand relevant in the Marvel U., but all in all his solo book should examine the mystical world behind the fabled martial arts. I also love storylines that involve multiple characters who all have varying strengths and weeknesses, but come together for a common cause. This is the Six Immortal Weapons. And I have no hesitation in saying that they are hands down, the best team in comics! This issue rights the course of this book in my opinion as the Six Immortal Weapons leave in search of the mysterious Eighth City (each of them being the Defender of their own Heavenly City.) I won't reveal why they are looking for it, other than to say that their reasons are very noble. In a sense, the Eighth City finds them, and the Six Immortal Weapons quickly find themselves in one HELL of a bind. The plot devices are inspired in this issue. Creative and original, yet earthy and believable. Travel Foreman's art fits this book like a glove. Especially when creating the citizens of the Eighth City. This issue catapulted The Immortal Iron Fist from the bottom of the pile straight to the top. In fact, I think I might drive down to the Marvel offices and camp out. Just so I can get the next issue straight off the press!
