I know that I am in the minority when it comes to this title, but I have been enjoying Legacy of late. This issue was no exception.
The entire story deals with Hellion and his response to Omega Sentinel in San Francisco. The story rotates back and forth between flashbacks to the incident between the two, and Cyclops questioning Hellion.
Writer Mike Carey presents an interesting scenario in which it is difficult to tell whether Omega really did flip her lid, or if Hellion acted prematurely. One thing there is no doubt of, is that Julian definitely used excessive force!
Hellion shows little remorse for putting down Omega Sentinel and this scares Cyclops. He sees a dark side to Julian that anyone who has followed the young mutant has always known was there. It is then that Cyclops lets Hellion know that he is on thin ice in Utopia.
I love the set up here. It is obvious to me that Hellion is going to leave. Maybe even become the new Exodus for a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. This would be perfect for rebuilding the mutant community that I grew up loving.
I can't wait to see where this story leads.
