This book absolutely astounded me. The plotting and smooth art made this book a valuable gem. I had my doubts when I first picked-up this book, Superman riding a subway train? Of course it intrigued me so I laid down my cash. It did not disappoint. The plot of the book rotates around five young friends who habitually role-play JLA. When they grow up they all fall into the world's appointed roles, but still long for the childhood fantasy. My three most favorite scenes from the book were 1) When "Superman" tried to intercede on the street and failed 2) "Batman" trying to stop a man from beating a woman, and failing 3) "Wonder Woman" trying to seduce "Superman" with the line "Want to take a ride to Paradise Island". Great book, I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Else world stories.
