Those that know me know that I love Jim Butchers "The Dresden Files" book series. When I found out that there where comics based on this series I flipped out.
Welcome To The Jungle is perfect for long time series fans or those new to the world of Harry Dresden. It is fast paced and sprinkled with Butcher's trademark humor.
With a killing at the local Zoo Harry is called in to do his consultant job as nothing seems to add up. Even before he gets a chance to tick anyone off who ever is behind the killing tries to take him out. Normally they at least wait until Harry has had a chance to tick them off, or at least insult them.
With trademark Dresden charm this wonderful story unfolds and before you are ready for it to end you find yourself looking at the back cover and wishing it was longer.
This first of the Dresden graphic novels collects the entire four issue mini series and includes some nice extras.
Butcher provides an entertaining forward and turns in a great script which was wonderfully rendered by Ardian Syaf.
A must read for Dresden fans and a great read overall! Happily there will be more comic book Dresden files to come as they are working on adapting the novels into comic book form!
