The continuing saga of the Guardians of the Galaxy brings us the Fault and what will be the Cancerverse to fruition along side Adam Magus, the evil reincarnation of Adam Warlord. In Volume Three we have the resurrected Moondragon join the fray, the original Guardians of the Galaxy playing a key role in attempting to stop the creation of the Fault, unsuccessfully, I may add, the Inhumans governing the Kree and Black Bolt detonating the bomb that triggers the creation of the Fault. This is a key volume in what will become the Thanos: Imperative story arc.
The story runs smoothly and with great care to balance the drama, and tragedies along with the comedic elements that make this such a good read. If I have to find fault with this collection it would be the introduction of a different artistic talents to the series. I can see how readers may be disappointed when faced with a new artistic team, but I think it serves well to appreciate the continuity that Abnett and Lanning bring to the story. Even this distraction do not distract from the story as such and may even contribute to keeping interest high by adding some artistic diversity to the mix.
