"Guns Blaze in Bordertown!" (F-253) featuring the Western Kid.
Tex tries to bring in trigger-happy Will Lawkins, but chases him to a border town, where no man may bring a gun without getting in trouble with the local sheriff. Lawkins flaunts his freedom in front of Tex, later gunning down the sheriff and commandeering the sheriff's arsenal. Tex confronts him, and in the fight, fire breaks out. The arsenal becomes a hail of gunfire as the weapons go off. Live by the gun, die by the gun.

"The Man Who Hated Dogs!" (F-254) featuring the Western Kid.
Mr. Jameson is the next-door neighbor to the ranch where Tex Dawson works. He hates dogs, and warns Tex that Lightning will be shot if he strayed onto Jameson's property. Jameson is later held captive by an outlaw, who finds that Jameson's property has a hidden mine. Lightning nearly saves the day, but Dawson wants to keep his secret, and does not expose the outlaw. Despite this, Tex and his partners save Jameson's life, and protect his secret.

Frosty Fane guns down most of the Ferris Gang, all but Duke Ferris himself, and so gets himself hired as the Sheriff of Mesquite. He brings law & order to the town, but later falls in love, and gives up the job. Duke Ferris hasn't forgotten, though, and is coming for revenge. Frosty's fiancé tells him that, if he duels, he has lost her. Frosty kills Duke and then rides off into the sunset.

"Trespasser!" (F-246) featuring the Western Kid
Tex, Lighting, and Whirlwind are fired upon when they stray onto the property of Juanita Lolita Carmencita, a Mexican ranch owner who has had three crooks try and pressure her off her property. Tex helps out, but the crooks get the jump on them. It takes teamwork to route the crooks. Juanita is sweet on Tex, but Tex chooses the solitary life of danger to love.
