What An Ending!

A full out 5 star rating for this outstanding concluding issue, which rounds up quite perfectly what has been a truly 'must read' series for the adults amongst us!

Just to be clear about how much I loved this series, I will say that even though I have all the 4 issues, I will still be buying this in hardcover when it comes out in trade. That's right, I rightfully believe this mini series is worth me re-buying and paying the extra money for the hardcover edition.

Bravo David Hine for a wonderfully written final issue, and three cheers for Fabrice Sapolsky's remarkable artwork through out the run!

This issue ties up all loose ends and gives the plot the expected reverse twist! Fitting all the characters involved into the plot perfectly. It was a real twist let me tell you that. If you read it, you'll have undoubtedly been as pleasantly surprised as I was! This final issue was as always political and very well structured and intellectual.

The beginning was sad, and written in a very touching manner, where Spider-Man (Peter) had to hear his Aunt say that she wanted to die. You feel emotionally connected to how much of a struggle it will have been for Peter to hear such things from his most loved relative.

The twist with the Goblin was very nice indeed and really shocked me! Shocked me in a good way nonetheless!

A perfect round up in plot and sub-plot. With very dramatic artwork that always managed to correspond perfectly with all the different styles of emotive writing.

This was one heck of a thrill ride. If you have any interest in 50's rendition of the classic Spider-Man tale, then you'd be sinning to pass this over.
