I didn't read the main Secret Invasion mini cause I can't stand Bendis' writing ticks, but I decided to pick up this one-shot.
With that said, I was shocked when the writing was the least of this issue's problems. The art was terrible. Maleev used to be such a great artist (pre-Daredevil), but his Namor looked like Namor and Charlie Brown had an odd-nosed kid, Osborne looked like a completely generic business man, Emma was well drawn but looked nothing like Emma, The Hood was generic and Loki was a mess. Doom was cool looking though.
The story? Well, there wasn't much of one as far as I could tell. Osborne is still crazy (we knew that during Civil War) and he's made a generic, goal-less, rambling offer to other "leaders."
The only Secret Invasion spin-off book I was planning on picking up was War Machine (love Manco's art) but I was hoping this would peak my interest in something else. Sadly, it just made me want to avoid it.
