What will come of X-Force?

This issue represented a nice wrap up of the Necrosha story. Selene is defeated (like there was ever a doubt), and the team lives on to fight another day. Or do they?

I’m still not sold on Clayton Crain’s art. I haven’t taken the time to research his processes (i.e. how much is computer generated, painted, etc.), but I would love to see him share the artistic duties. I get the feeling that he falls into the same traps as Leinil Yu. His lines are great, but he might be more successful with somebody else colouring. There are too many dark and ambiguous panels.

It was nice to see Warpath play a major role. Hopefully this signifies more of a spotlight to come for this misused character. Ultimately though, it was the final page that made this book so good. Wolverine discloses which members of X-Force will remain on, and in typical Kyle and Yost fashion, there are many questions.

I thought the read was good. Kyle and Yost’s pacing is always on the money, and the story ended well. We’ll see what happens from here. Maybe there is no more X-Force!
