This is not a bad story by any means. David Lapham is an excellent writer and does exceptionally well with violent titles.(Crossed,Deadpol MAX) However, it's really not about The Punisher. The story is told through a lonely man who is an ill, serial killer wannabe. Frank Castle comes to the apartment building where this man lives and destroys a meth lab. After leaving one victim to endure a slow death, a neighbor(the narrator) finds the victim and makes him endure an even slower death. The art works well with the torture scene and is a lot better than the art I've come across in some of these Punisher one-shots. Don't get me wrong, the one-shots can certainly be entertaining. But where is the Punishermax series that left us in the middle of an arc?
This is the third one-shot since issue 9 of that series.
This book is good for a partial satisfaction of your Max Punisher cravings. Just don't expect it to completely satisfy your appetite.
