In issue #23 of Conan the Cimmerian the "Iron Shadows in the Moon" story arc takes it's second step in the four step journey. We see Conan from the perspective of beautiful Olivia as he travels through the jungle to a safe place to rest their exhausted bones. Olivia has the intuition of evil haunting their very steps. We get a glimpse of what they will face in future issues through the trees and how awesome this creature will be. In the meantime Conan and Olivia must deal with the immediate threat that piracy brings to their resting place.
The writing and art are top notch. Tomas Giorello cover art maintains the high quality we come to expect from Dark Horse for the Conan series. The combination of Tomas and Jose forces to come back to this comic title month after month to be surprise again and again with their artistic talent.
One last thing to note is that extras that always comes with Dark Horse's Conan the Cimmerian; Lockbox 313 editorial by Phil Smith and the fan letter section and pinup fan art, and finally "The Adventures of Two-Gun" Bob by Jim & Ruth Keegan.
This is another outstanding contribution to the Conan mythology for readers to enjoy.
