Who's Ariel, and why should we care?

So this issue had been billed as a X-Man dies. I had been hoping that Cable died, as his series is like watching the Fugitive with Super Powers. Picking this issue up we get to see who dies, with the lead in from New Mutants it could have been Karma thankfully it wasn't. I've been reading X-Men and Uncanny since right after AOA and I have no idea who Ariel is, she just showed up a few issues ago and now she's gone....oh well.

The Issue was a good read, I really like the way Rogue's Powers are being written. The Full page layout of Rogue with all the X-Men's Powers was amazing. Since Second Coming is a 12 or 13 part series not to much happens in this issue as it's still early. Also I like that Cyclops kept Pixie on Utopia and let Nightcrawler act as the official teleporter, he's one of my favorites.
