With Mysterio It's Always Misdirection

And misdirected is how I felt reading the last few issues of "The Gauntlet" arc. The surgeons are trying to fix Hammer Head. Mr. Negative is being duped by Mysterio. Silvermane is really Mysterio. Are the old dead villains really resurrected? I don't know, because I lost interest in the story after the first couple of panels. It should have been a good story, but, for some reason, it left me wanting less.

The only cool panel was that of Mysterio finally sitting on the beach enjoying a martini. As the next panel portrays that he is actually sitting on a NY rooftop with a billboard of Paradise Island becoming a backdrop giving us the illusion that Mysterio was at the beach. OK, I liked that.

The story overall was at its best when it ended. And, I mean the last panel found me giving a sigh of relief that the story was finally over and we could move on.

I am hoping "The Gauntlet" arc gets better with the next issue. So, there is always hope I guess.
