XF Investigations: Case Closed

When this series relaunched, shortly after the Decimation event, leading to many mutants losing their abilities, I had hope. Originally, the group was set out to discover what happen behind Decimation, in hopes of reversing Scarlet Witch's act of genocide. Somewhere along the way, the group lost their focus. The group grew, with many unused characters. The group seemed disassociated from the X-men and the Utopia group.

I hope Wolverine, during Regenesis, brings some life to this book. This issue reintroduces Alex Summers and Lorna Dane as new leaders. I consider Havok and Polaris two of the greatest mutants living in the shadows of Scott Summers and Wanda Maximoff.

First off, return both of these characters to their original costumes. Which were awesome.

This issue deals with the grief reaction and lack of among the many losses the group has suffered (Strong Guy's soul, Jamie's life, Layla's love, Rictor's boyfriend, Banshee's father and child, Wolfsbane's pup, overall, the team's leader). This issue has great humor, attitute, Pip the Troll puts M in her place (regarding her cleavage), Longshot shares he sexting with Allison, and Jamie is trapped in some world where there are crazy Iron-man-like-sentials?

Please let this series get better.
