I don't think there's much argument that Lex Luthor is not Superman's number one foe. So we'll just go with that.

However. ol' Double L isn't the only menace that The Man of Steel has to face. Here are my Top 5 Superman Villains not named Luthor!

Bizarro am good. Him like Superman so much him can cry! This cover would also qualify for my Comic Books With Just A Face On The Cover thread.

Hey look! Anther baddie with the exact same powers as Superman! I always liked the Crime Syndicate being the evil counterparts to the Justice League. An idea Marvel copied a few years later with the Squadron Supreme.


Doomsday
What list of Superman villains would be complete without the one who actually killed him on it? Well. it didn't take but still, there was a whole storyline called "The Death of Superman" so...


General Zod
Probably most people remember him from Superman II or Man of Steel but he has done some shenanigans in the comics as well. Again, very similar powers to Supes but backed by a military mind and vicious ruthlessness makes him a tough enemy.

OK, so you might argue that Mxy is technically evil and you're probably correct but the Imp from the 5th Dimension is certainly a thorn in Superman's side. Sometimes literally. With basically unlimited powers he poses a challenge and I always find his visits to our dimension to be enjoyable.
