A property manager is approached by a grotesque man who demands to rent his 13th floor. The manager states his build has no 13th floor, but the visitor insists. The manager agrees under duress, and there are strange visitors to the building for the next year, although nobody sees a 13th floor. The Manager insists on inspecting the premises at the end of the lease, intent on making money on the space. He is warned that the 13th floor is not for the living, but his greed gets the better of him. 5 pages.
