*After establishing the basic organizational, administrative, and training aspects of S.O.S. (Washington-based headquarters, costumes, ranks, Martian-saucer transportation, etc.) over several months, the team is sent on their first mission - to investigate sections of American land that are being replaced by portions of "Darkworld," a war-ravaged planet ruled by the villanous Darklord. In a battle with Darklord, Dragon and Smasher are separated from the rest of the team - they discover a modern Coke machine amidst a section of Darkworld's ruins, and conclude that Darkworld is in fact the Earth...
