Invasion – Ships (single episode).Lieutenant Silk has a plan to blow up the invaders ship ‘Volga’ by diving beneath her hull with a team of Royal Navy divers and planting limpet mines as she sails into the London docks. His plan is thwarted however, as the Volgans use sonic sirens to kill the frogmen as they approach the ship – Silk is the only survivor. Bill Savage initiates his back up plan and members of the resistance swing from crane hooks onto the deck and overrun the ship. They rescue Lieutenant Silk at set the Volga alight using some of the North Sea Oil the Volgans had come to steal as a form of poetic justice.
Flesh – Flesh Book I: Episode 9.The Dino-Express is transporting time travel holidaymakers on a prehistoric safari. The trains Tyranno Horn is used to clear plant-eating dinosaurs off the tracks but unwittingly attracts other Tyrannosaurs including Old One Eye who is able to escape the spike pit trap set by Earl Reagan. Reagan, Claw Carver and Joe Brontowski try to rescue the terrified holidaymakers from the charging Tyrannosaurs but Old One Eye causes an avalanche forcing the train to stop and poor vacationer Orville Wainwright is the first victim Old One Eye sinks her teeth into (this frame gets censored by 2000ADs alien editor Tharg).
Harlem Heroes – Harlem Heroes: Episode 9.The cyborg Artie Gruber has been released from a Mega-City One laboratory with orders to kill the Harlem Heroes. The Heroes return to Harlem for a victory parade after defeating the Siberian Wolves. Their next match is against the Montezuma Mashers at the Mashers home stadium, a replica Aztec temple on the estate of millionaire rancher Cyrus Teegarten. As the match commences, Artie Gruber gets himself into position high in the stadium and levels the sight of his flamer-gun on Giant…
Dan Dare – Dan Dare: Sequence 9.Dan Dare tricks the mind of the living Biog ship that he will betray his comrades and is allowed to return to the Odyssey along with Commander Monday and the crew of his shuttle. When back at the Odyssey, Dan Dare orders acting Commander Mr Milton to fire up the warp engines using all available power which heats its hull to such a point that a hole is ripped in the side of the living Biog ship allowing the Odyssey to escape. Scanners show the welcome sight of an Earth fleet approaching but a flotilla of Biog ships is also closing in and it looks like the biggest battle man has ever fought is about to commence…
M.A.C.H.1 – Our Man in Turkostan (single episode).John Probe has been sent to Turkostan to retrieve Professor Nils Nansen. Nansen is a nuclear physicist and ‘Nuclear Advisor’ to the Turkostan regime. It’s feared that Nansen will be used to bring a quick end to the war between the Turkostan regime and Al Macki guerrillas sparking World War III. With his M.A.C.H.1 powers, John probe is up to the task and captures Nils Nansen leaving Turkostan tanks in his wake.
Judge Dredd – Robots (a prelude to the Robot Wars)
First Judge Dredd story scripted by John Wagner.
At the “Robot of the Year Show” thousands have gathered to see demonstrations of the latest robot technology. In one demonstration a robot (George) is ordered to incinerate itself in a show of how obedient robots have become. Judges are on patrol as there has been a threat that unless a ransom of 20 million credits is paid the show will be destroyed. During the exhibition a madman in a 'robochair' enters and releases a toxic gas killing all of those attending. With the aid of a ‘Bloodhound Robot’ Judge Dredd chases the madman and causes his death when he shoots the robot that is controlling the maniac’s chair. Judge Dredd is left to wonder, “…How long will it be before robots discover how to break the law?”
