I've decided to start being a Superman reader, and this issue marked the first part of my epic journey into the future as a reader of this title!
I've been hearing very good things about it and decided to hop on after New Krypton.
Now, given the fact that some of the sub-plots which went on in here I didn't quite get, and some characters I were not too familiar with.. I did enjoy this for a multitude of reasons!
The artwork was beautiful, especially parts where it showed Superman flying to New Krypton. I also thought the dialogue was great too.
I know nothing about this character Parasite, but having read this, there was a remarkable and surprising amount of back story told from only a few sentences in the narrative, but from this I was able to pick up on what this guy's power was and his relationship with the world around him. So it was great to pick this issue up and get some background on this cool looking character!
I cannot wait to read more as this all seems very exciting stuff and a huge return for Superman's home planet which I hope to become familiar with in future issues!
A good start for a new reader to get into, give it a few more issue and I reckon I'll be on board if it keeps like this!
