Shadowman was an original property of
VALIANT COMICS, when the video game company
ACCLAIM decided they wanted to get into comics, they brought on board several comic industry professionals and revisioned most if not the entire Valiant Universe.
Shadowman was one of those revisioned.

Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, the most unsung writing team heroes in the business, readers are given great dialogue, and an eerie tone to the series that creates a little buzz in the back of your head. Reading the dialogue as Shadowman takes calls from listeners of his late-night talk show is worth the search the back issues of your LCS alone.
