the good old days...

This issue is in the middle of my favorite run in comic books (prior to Walking Dead) which is Claremont's first and extensive run on X-men. This issue features a law abiding Juggernaught being attacked from the sentinel from the future, Nimrod, while the X-men are caught in the middle and on the verge of defeat.. John Romita Jr's style starts to become distinct in this era and its fun to watch it develope over the years. Its also cool to see Wolverine "in character", as opposed to the rampant berzerker murderer that so many other writers try to paint him to be. And its fun watching Nightcrawler lead the team while Storm and Cyclops are away.

I agree, this was one of the better issues in the Claremont/Romita Jr. run. To echo what you said, it is enjoyable to see Nightcrawler and Wolverine written into their distinctive character.
