"When the Monster Wakes!"

Betty Ross in held in a cell with the unconscious Hulk by the Lord of Living Lightning in a gamble to force General Ross to surrender his base to the villain. To his surprise, when the Hulk awakens, he recognizes Betty as a friend. Enraged, the Lord of Lightning tries to command Hulk, and the Hulk rebels, bringing the Legion of Living Lightning's weapons to bear. This oddly reverts the Hulk back to Banner, but in the mayhem, Major Talbot escapes, freeing Ross, Betty and Banner. Talbot hotly blames Banner for the whole fiasco, but Ross knows that the enemy's base is still a threat, and that the Hulk is the only answer. Using Banners old tech, Ross spurs the transformation to the Hulk, and the Hulk attacks the enemy base, causing an explosion to the power core, burying the Hulk in the mountainside.

"When Falls the Holocaust!"

The Sub-Mariner is on the sidelines as Atlantis launches is fabled fleet with Lord Seth at the vanguard for the assault on the surface world, including their mightiest weapon, the Hurricane Inducer. Namor knows that the weapon is untested and dangerous both to victim and to user, and he does his best to stop its deployment. The US Military is on hand as well, and at the conclusion of the fighting, with their super weapon destroyed and their ships crippled, the Atlanteans return home, but not Namor. The Sub-Mariner goes forward to press his one-man vendetta against the surface world, while Lord Seth reports back of Namor's redemption.
