Countdown to Casualty

So I am the farthest thing from a Fantastic Four fan, so I picked this issue up because off all the attention it’s been getting online.

I knew the FF had a second child but didn’t know she was already 5 or 6. This is really her story, the FF are off fighting some threat. We get a glimpse into Valeria's devious little mind and see what she could have been or could become. She calls Doom "Uncle Doom," I’m betting there is some back story to that, that's not the devious part. I think this is gonna be a good story, it’s been talked about as one of the FF will die in this arc. Even though as this is comics (and Marvel) we know they will be back in the months to follow it’s still got my attention.

My guess is it’s gonna be Reed that eats dirt, Stuart Immonen made it clear he’s doing New Avengers because he loves to draw The Thing so I don’t think he will die. Sue would be the obvious choice as she is the Heart of the team, Johnny he’s the hothead always acting and then thinking. Reed dying would be more powerful then any other because his loss would be felt throughout the entire marvel universe.

As a non fan I now understand what all the talk has been about for this series recently. The last time I collected Fantastic Four was when Claremont was writing the team during the whole Heroes Return storyline. This issue has sparked my interest, I’ll see it through the end of the arc.
