In a vain and arrogant effort to end all war, a scientist turns his son into a walking energy weapon that is destroying the city. Reed finally arrives after having Johnny freeze Ben and the experiment. Reed tries to stop the creature, but it is too powerful. Professor Rambow has a fail-safe and he brings it to the location where Reed has the creature cornered. They use the machine to turn the creature back to human. The Fantastic Four return to the Baxter Building so that Reed can continue his experiment on Ben.
