While dining out, a would-be assassin tries to kill young Luthor but Supergirl blocks the shots and the ricochets put the gunman in the hospital. Something about the attacker seems too familiar to Lex and he pays the man a visit in the hospital - can it really be Dabney Donovan? During his visit it is revealed that Donovan knows the horrible truth behind the elder Luthor's "death" and the young Luthor's convenient appearance.

Lana Lang is abducted by the Sons of Liberty as they advance their plot to destroy her fiancé, Senator Pete Ross.
