In Atlantis, Warlord Krang stirs Namor to claim the surface world for Atlanteans. Namor goes to New York to make his demands, and Krang takes advantage and tries to seize power in Atlantis in the Sub-Mariner's absence. In New York, Namor seeks to press his claim for the surface world through peaceful means, and tries to engage the law firm of Nelson and Murdock. Matt tells Namor that he has no basis for a legal claim, and Namor goes on the rampage. Daredevil battles valiantly, but is no match for Namor's strength. Namor respects this and returns to Atlantis to squash Krang's schemes.
First appearance of Daredevil's all-red costume.

Glen Talbot and Bruce Banner, caught in fire fight with the hill tribe rebels, end up in an avalanche, only to be saved by Banner changing into the Hulk. Once back at base, the charges of espionage still linger for Banner, but he is needed at the test of the Absorbatron. The Leader sends a horde of Humanoids to capture the nuclear weapon and the Hulk.

Scott Summers leads the X-Men, with Professor X off on an adventure. Cyclops has trouble holding the team together on his own, and the Beast leaves the team, trying to make some money as a pro wrestler. He encounters Unus the Untouchable, a mutant who has the power is to repell anything that comes at him. Beast sees that Unus is being recruited by the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Soon the X-Men confront Unus, but it takes the scientific mind of Hank McCoy to devise a victory over Unus.
First time that Iceman achieves "ice" form.
