"What Price Life?"
As Tony Stark struggles for life in a hospital bed, his mind fights phantasms of all his past enemies. His fight with the LMD damaged his heart beyond repair, and only heart transplant surgery saves him.
The benefit of this is that his chest plate is no longer required, but his new heart is delicate, putting into question whether he can effectively pursue his career as Iron Man. The question becomes moot, as he is kidnapped by Madame Masque on the orders of Midas.
While in captivity, she reveals herself as Whitney Frost, former head of the Maggia, and she and Tony kiss. She reconsiders her position and helps him escape from Midas' grasp.
