As the rest of X-Force has their hands full with Jon Spectre, Cannonball fights his former mentor, Cable. After a prolonged battle, Cable eventually stands victorious - which angers Sunspot. To him, Cable beating Cannonball only affirms that their one-time leader cannot be trusted. So, when the team departs, Sunspot remains with Cannonball, and the two turn their backs on their former X-Force teammates.
Meanwhile, on Mt. Xixabangma, Lady Anime discovers that her father died because he was trying to protect Shatterstar. Furious, Lady Anime is determined to hunt down Shatterstar and kill him. If that wasn't bad enough, the Skornn has risen anew in Bulgaria...and after many long years of slumbering, it has an appetite for Cable!
