*Three B.P.R.D. agents check out an abandoned Chicago warehouse on a tip. Finding a seemingly abandoned safehouse of the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra, they commence gathering intelligence. Agent Howards sees an ancient Hyperborean sword and upon touching it, falls into a catatonic trance. His partners see his plight, but are set upon by watchman of the Brotherhood, and all die in a firefight. All that is except for Agent Howards, whose consciousness has gone back in time to inhabit the body of Gall Dennar of the Hyperborean Age, where he witnesses mankind's earlier struggles with an infestation of the Ogdru Hem.
