Item Biography
On his first mission as a S.H.O.C. trooper, Duncan Shields is sent out with Killjoy to retreive a shard. In their search they interupt a meeting between the werewolf ambassador, Sandri, and the Teppish, lord of the Ethreal, a race of half vampire / half werewolf ancestry. The S.H.O.C.s manage to kill Teppish and capture his sons and daughters for experimentation.
When they insert a brain box into Kracus, who is now the new Ethreal lord, it releases his true potentiality and he breaks free.
Shields, who was injured in the initial attack, finds his way to Ballistic's apartment. Cassie goes out to find Killjoy, leaving Shields and her friend Jackie behind. Killjoy, has badly injured, but tells Ballistic that she might find her answers in Death Valley.
When she returns to her apartment, Shields has turned. He has not only killed Jackie, but also bites Ballistic. Meanwhile, Waering's interest in the Ethreal's causes him to send WetWorks to investigate.
