*Mutants - they are men and women born with genetic structures that have gifted them with extraordinary powers. Gathered together by Professor Charles Xavier, the X-Men have learned to use their incredible abilities to better mankind and fight against injustice. Unknown to society at large, these outlaw mutants fight an endless battle against prejudice and try to bridge the ever-widening gulf between humanity and mutantkind by protecting a hostile world that fears them.
Rebecca Romijn-Stamos as Mystique:
Mystique is a mutant shapeshifter with the power to change her appearance. The metamorph naturally has a blue skin, scaled reptilian appearance, but she can make herself look and sound like an exact duplicate of anyone she chooses. This ability makes her the ultimate spy for Magneto's brotherhood because she can infiltrate any organization by literally becoming anyone.
Famke Janssen as Jean Grey:
Jean Grey has the mutant power of telekinesis - the ability to move objects with her mind. She also has limited telepathic powers that enable her to hear the thoughts of others in close proximity. As a member of the X-Men, Jean uses both her extarordinary mental gifts and scientific genius to try to create a better world for both man and mutant. She is the object of affection for both Cyclops and Logan, which often causes tension within the outlaw band of mutants.
Halle Berry as Storm:
Ororo Munroe was orphaned as a child and raised on the streets and back alleys of Cairo, where she had to rely on her wits and courage to survive. The white haired beauty's mutant ability to command the forces of nature manifested in adolescence while she was living in Africa. It was there that Charles Xavier discovered the young mutant girl being worshipped as a goddess and recruited her to join his team of X-Men. The mutant code-named her Storm because of her power to summon hurricane-force wids, torrential rains and intense bolts of lightning. She now uses her complete command of the weather to protect a world that fears and hates her.
Anna Paquin as Rogue:
The genetic abilities of the young drifter known as Rogue are both a blessing and a curse. The young mutant has the power to absorb the memories and powers of others through the slightest touch, but because she has no control over this talent, she must keep even those she cares for at a distance. She first met Wolverine when he saved her from an attacking angry mob and feels a special kinship with him because she once used her powers to absorb his mutant healing factor and memories in order to save her life. As a result, she understands why the mysterious loner has such a troubled soul.
