Aquaman and Aqualad have several run-ins with a criminal scientist, Professor Enos Snark who has invented a way of removing the salt from salt water. So when Aquaman's marine allies try to attack him, they are unable to do so. To counter this Aquaman has special diving-tank equipment built for the fish, filled with salt-water tanks.
